Most Incredible Bridges in the World - Gunung Mat Cincang Sky Bridge

At the top of the Gunung Mat Cincang mountain, (Langkawi)  in Malaysia, there is one of the most incredible bridges in the world. Even for the layperson, imagining that a huge structure such as this one is supported by one pilar only is already a breathtaking exercise; much like the nature surrounding Sky Bridge. The curvy bridge was finished in 2004 and trusts the weight of its boardwalk deck to eight steel cables tied to the edge of its big 87 metres high pilaster.

The Sky Bridge spreads across 125 metres and, thanks to an exclusive curvature offers different perspectives of landscapes to its visitors. The passage is 1,80 metres wide and has two triangular platforms with twice this size that act as viewing points, offering a spectacular view of the Andaman Sea and the Thai island of Tarutao.

The access can also be a spectacular experience, with the cable car, with round-shaped small cars that reach even higher in a station over 700 metres high. The rise and the fall seem to be, like everything relating to the bridge and the view from the top: unforgetable!
